I was reading scripture this morning and found in my bible a piece of paper (one of many pieces) that I was using as a book mark. On it, I had written from a long time ago, the following:
"The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The WORDS I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life." John 6:63 ...and...
"Whoever belives in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. John 7:38.
We are starting a new bible study which is focusing on the Holy Spirit. We are reading a book by Francis Chan, titled "The Forgotten God".
Interesting to me is the affirmation of my perception of the Holy Spirit in this new book and the handwritten note to myself about the Holy Spirit from another time and segment in my life. Kind of like a 'pop-up' on the web when you hit on something that is tied to what you are looking at already.
Not sure if that makes sense but 'in my inner spirit' I was prompted that I was on the right track in my spiritual walk to now be thinking, processing and praying about the Holy Spirit. Perhaps it was Him who tapped me on the shoulder to affirm me. I like to think that it was and that I will be seeing more clearly how Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one.
