The speaker, Carol Kent, was speaking on the Journey. She is definitely "in one" as she recounted the story of her only child, who grew up the top of his class, smart, attractive, etc etc and ended up killing his wife's ex-husband. He got a life sentance. He is in a Florida maximum prison. Her story touches on the different stages she has gone through and how she is 'walking' the journey'. If you think life is easy for a Christian, think again.
Anyway, we had a good time. There are always a few kiosks set up for the ladies (jewellery, handbags, candles, scarfs to name a few). TupperWare was there along with CandleLight and a number of other names. We just arrived and went through them as first attendees and I purchased right away a new handbag. On special with a small discount for a slight malfunction (which didn't bother me at all). I was looking for hot pink or burgundy but ended up with a teal blue but I love it!!
I immediately transferred everything in my old purse to this new one and it has proved to be the best thing I have done for awhile. One strap is the key that I love the most. No flopping off the shoulder anymore!
A few ladies went out for supper on Sat night and had a good time. It was busy at Moxie's but we did get in and enjoyed ourselves. Women and food - endless conversation and just more of the same for the rest of the evening - what more could you ask for?!
