Back to the Dark

John came upstairs this morning and said "I don't like it". He meant the darkness. Fall is upon us and already at 7 am it is still dark. Oh, dear, what happened to the sunshine at 4:15 a.m. and the bright summer sun that was there when I woke up at 6:30? I guess it moved somewhere else! But there is something about waking up when it is dark outside and putting on the coffee and softly and quietly walking about the house with the dim light of the undercounter lights glowing. I like my cup of coffee and quiet. As I sit here, I can now see the light in the family room of our neighbor switch on and they too are likely enjoying their cup of java before the day begins. The outline of the house is now visible and I know the sun is rising higher.

Back to the business of making lunch, having a shower and doing my hair grrrrrrrrr.....ok, let's not get started on my hair again...maybe 5 more minutes before I start that grind. I will enjoy a few more sips and think of the Rockies and sunrise! Ahhhhhh yes....beautiful!
