Our thoughts and prayers are with our neighbor, Karen & Jerry, at the sudden passing of her mother last night. The picture below is one that Karen had put on her facebook site for this past Mother's Day. I hope she does not mind me using this picture as well.

Her passing brings to mind my own mother who has been gone now since 2001. The time has passed quickly (at least looking back from today's date) but she has been missed by me every day.

A mother is special - you might argue with her - disagree with her - but she's always there for you. She is the person you talk to about what you did, where you went, how you feel, what you want. My mom was a great listener. She didn't have a lot to say but when she did, I usually listened. Guess that is why I talk so much - she just listened!
Anyway, please send up a quick thought and prayer for the comfort and peace of Karen and Jerry during this sad time. They will appreciate it, I'm sure.
