Happy Birthday!

It was a special day for John yesterday as it was his birthday (Thursday, Oct.14).  Of course with the schedules in this household, time was a problem to get everyone together. So....it was a different kind of celebration...a breakfast birthday. We had a 'pancake' bithday cake...literally!
The breakfast table was set with orange tablecloth, sparkles, a 'happy birthday' sign hung over it along with balloons. We had 'bacon & eggs' and pancakes and coffee. The perfect meal!

John got a great gift from the kids. A made up 'crossword puzzle'. Something he likes to do but it was all about him! Took him most of the morning to get them ALL but he did it (with a little bit help from me)! His new shirt and a photo album of some of his key life moments were a hit too!  What a great celebration. Then, before you know it...it was time for school and away everyone went. Still...he will remember this birthday for awhile. Photos to follow!
