We went out for an early birthday celebration last night. My birthday is not until Monday but we are both busy and so as not to 'pass it over' or 'postpone' my hubby decided to do the opposite - and celebrate early and long! I have no problems with that at all!
Already I am abundantly blessed to overflowing...

How much better can it get and my actual birth day is still to come!!!
I was at a birthday celebration yesterday for a friend who turned 70 years young. Another friend surprised her with a beautiful bouquet - of iced cupcakes. I had walked past them thinking it was a beautiful bouquet of flowers! I could hardly believe it - even after knowing they were not flowers, they still looked like flowers. It was her first time doing such a thing and true to who she is, they were perfect (maybe not in her eyes but in everyone else's)! Wouldn't you agree?!

It was considered her birthday cake so we all had to have one ... it was difficult to eat them - BUT - I did -and they tasted as good as they looked! I'm glad I took a picture of them first!
This weekend we move the clocks ahead an hour - hopefully with the prospect of Spring to follow shortly thereafter. Please...don't hold your breath.
This morning we woke up to a white wonderland - again! Last night I noticed the city trucks spreading their sand on the road and I wondered why since they had just cleared them. But this morning, I see the reason. The one thing about fresh snowfall is the world looks so clean and bright. For awhile anyway.
Just when you get to see the pavement again....it snows!

I am happy my hubby likes to get his exercise this way. I think the neighbors enjoyed the scraping sound on their sidewalks this morning as well!
